This perjury case has been assigned to the Seoul Central District Court's Criminal Division 32, the same division handling the rebellion charges against former Minister of the Interior and Safety Lee Sang-min. This outcome is attributed to the extensive lobbying efforts by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, who actively met with former President Donald Trump and congressional figures to advocate for regulatory relaxation.  

Initially, the U.S. Senate saw bipartisan efforts to strengthen regulations, including the introduction of the 'SAFE CHIPS Act, ' which sought to ban the export of NVIDIA's advanced AI chips (such as H200 and Blackwell) to China for 30 months. This reflected the U.S.'s firm stance in the technological rivalry, aiming to block China's access to cutting-edge AI technology.  

However, Bloomberg News and other outlets projected that the 'GAIN AI Act,' which would require semiconductor companies to prioritize U.S. domestic demand before exporting high-performance AI chips to countries of concern like China, would not be included in the NDAA. Following this news, NVIDIA's stock price surged, indicating a positive market reaction.
